Palworld Breeding Calculator

Find out what two Pals will hatch, or work backwards from the Pal you want to every parent combination that produces it. The calculator uses the Palworld 1.0 breeding data (299 Pals, 164 special combinations) and runs entirely in your browser — no sign-in, no waiting.

How Palworld breeding works

Every Pal has a hidden number called breeding power. The lower the number, the rarer and stronger the Pal — Chikipi sits at 3080 while Jetragon sits at 70. Breeding follows three steps, in this order.

1. Special combinations come first. Some pairs always hatch a specific Pal, whatever the numbers say. Relaxaurus + Sparkit always hatches Relaxaurus Lux, and Frostallion + Helzephyr always hatches Frostallion Noct. There are 164 of these special combinations, including the 11 Terraria collab Pals, which can only be obtained this way.

2. Otherwise the formula decides. The game averages the two parents’ breeding power — floor((parent 1 + parent 2 + 1) / 2) — and the child is the Pal whose breeding power is closest to that number. Only 183 of the 299 Pals can come out of the formula; the rest are special-only and never appear this way.

3. Some Pals only breed true. 24 Pals, including Jetragon, Frostallion and Paladius, can only ever hatch themselves — pair one with its own species and you get the same Pal back. They can still be used as parents in the formula with other Pals.

Two Pals can never be bred at all: Panthalus and Astralym cannot enter a Breeding Farm, so they do not appear in the pickers.

What about talents (IVs)?

The species is only half the story. Each egg’s HP, Attack and Defense talents are rolled separately: a 30% chance of the father’s value, a 30% chance of the mother’s value, and a 40% chance of a random value from 0 to 100. Those are community-measured figures, not official game numbers, so treat them as a guide rather than a promise.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Palworld breeding calculator work?

Pick two parents and it shows the child, or pick the Pal you want and it lists every parent combination that produces it. It checks the 164 special combinations first, then applies the breeding-power formula — floor((parent 1 + parent 2 + 1) / 2) — against the Palworld 1.0 data.

What is breeding power?

A hidden number every Pal carries. Lower means rarer and stronger: Jetragon is 70 and Chikipi is 3080. The child is the Pal whose breeding power is closest to the average of the two parents, so a low-power parent pulls the child towards rarer Pals.

What are special breeding combinations?

Fixed pairs that always hatch a specific Pal, skipping the formula entirely. There are 164 of them, including Relaxaurus + Sparkit hatching Relaxaurus Lux. The 11 Terraria collab Pals can only be obtained through special combinations.

Can I breed Jetragon or other legendary Pals?

Jetragon, Frostallion, Paladius and 21 other Pals only ever breed true — paired with their own species they hatch themselves. They can still be used as parents with other Pals, and the formula decides the child as normal.

Why can’t I breed Panthalus or Astralym?

Those two cannot enter a Breeding Farm at all, so they are left out of the calculator entirely. Astralym is a tower boss, and Panthalus comes from the Echoing Flute encounter, not from breeding.

How are talents (IVs) inherited in Palworld?

HP, Attack and Defense are each rolled separately: 30% chance of the father’s value, 30% of the mother’s, and 40% random from 0 to 100. These are community-measured figures, so they may differ slightly in game.

How do I get a specific Pal, like Anubis?

Use the “Find parents for a Pal” tab. It lists every parent combination that hatches that Pal, special combinations first, with a count of how many combinations exist. Then breed the pair you can actually catch.
